Carolina Spirit Quest - Winter Quest 2007

"Discovering the Divinity Within"
January 19-21, 2007
Fairy Stone State Park, Stuart, Virginia

As we spiral around the wheel of the year once again, we come to the season of introspection - a time to take things slower. This sacred time is a chance to discover the hidden parts of ourselves that often get lost in the hustle and bustle of daily life (especially around the winter holidays). Winter Quest is just such an event - a time to meet with friends, in the casual intimacy of a wooded lodge, to relax, renew and reflect. Last winter, we were "Connecting with Spirit." In January 2007, let us focus inside and look to "Discovering the Divinity Within" each of us! We will find that spark of the Divine that connects all of us - to each other, to our community and to the universe.

Make plans to join us once again at Fairy Stone State Park in Stewart, VA for the 5th annual Winter Quest. Attendance is limited to 32 due to facilities.

We have lined up a selection of learning circles appropriate for the season and the spirit of the event. Information is available on the Learning Circles page.

There will be time to talk or just be alone.
Time for meditation and mindfulness.
Time for drumming and dancing.

Look Within
Christian Williamson 1999, Spiral Rhythm

Look into the eyes of the Lady fair,
Look into the eyes of the Lord in there.
Look into the eyes of the Lady fair,
Look into the eyes of the Lord in there.
Look to the mirror, look to the glass,
Look to the future, look to the past.
Look to the strong, look to the wise,
Look to the power within YOUR eyes!

Worship - Our Opening Ritual will include the construction of our Community Altar. The Main Ritual highlights the sharing of ourselves and our inner spirituality. It will be both meditative and creative in nature. The Closing Ritual focuses on what we each carry away from our journey.
