[CSQ-News] CSQ - A Chance to Volunteer
Friends -
Carolina Spirit Quest is an organization of volunteers - from the Board
of Trustees, to the staff for our weekend events, to individuals who
help put address labels on catalogs. We all help because of our need for
community and sharing the vision of CSQ - to reach out to other "Pagan's
and earth-centered religionists in the Carolinas, Virginia and DC area."
As an organization of volunteers, we need YOUR help too! Look over the
lists of opportunities below and let us know if you would be available
to help out, no matter how infrequently, to assist us in connecting our
community!
*Staff Positions Available!*
Both Winter and Spring events for 2007 have staff positions available!
For *Winter Quest 2007* (January 19-21, 2007 in Stuart, VA), we need
individuals to teach learning circles. Our theme, "Discovering the
Divinity Within," lends itself to many different topics. If you would
like to teach, please contact Becky at lukystarr@aol.com
<mailto:lukystarr@aol.com> with your learning circle idea.
*Spring Quest 2007* (planned for April 20-22, 2007 at Umstead Park,
Raleigh, NC) has several staff positions, as well as learning circle
opportunities, available. The theme "Always Focusing on the Journey;
Never our Destination" should provide for an exciting weekend event. If
you are interested in volunteering for a staff position and helping to
make the weekend retreat a reality, please email Raven at
ravenswood98@yahoo.com <mailto:ravenswood98@yahoo.com>. For teaching
opportunities, please contact Kara at karalynnn@yahoo.com
<mailto:karalynnn@yahoo.com>.
*CSQ Committees Need You!*
Perhaps you aren't able to volunteer for staff positions and maybe you
are not ready to consider running for the board next Spring, but there
are many other ways to help support CSQ. For example you might consider
helping by serving on one of *CSQ's committees:*
- For those who enjoy working on websites, helping with newsletters, or
maintaining email lists you might be interested in the *Communications
Committee*.
- Our *Outreach Committee* works on reaching out to other pagan
organizations and attending many different Pagan Pride Day events.
- Currently, the *Fundraising Committee* could use people to help find,
as well as write, grants proposals and start organizing our donor
records as we work on our goal to own land.
- The *Scholarship Committee* needs people to help review candidates as
well as help spread the word about CSQ's College Scholarship Fund.
- CSQ's *Policy and Procedure Committee* is currently working on writing
a Policy and Procedure manual, as well as creating an Event Operation
Guide.
- Last, but definitely not least, if you are good at keeping books or
have other money-related skills the *Finance Committee* can always use
your help.
If you are interested in helping with the ongoing work of Carolina
Spirit Quest, please contact the board at info@carolinaspiritquest.org
<mailto:info@carolinaspiritquest.org>. Please include what skills you
have to share or what committee(s) you are interested in within your email.
I hope that you, like all of our board members, will be inspired to help
out and give of your time and skills to support Carolina Spirit Quest!
Thank you and Blessed Be!
